The Canadian New Media Awards show is being held this Dec 1 at the Design Exchange in Toronto. Run by the folks who bring you the always fantastic NextMedia Banff, the awards show follows NextMedia Toronto. Most importantly, the awards are an opportunity to showcase your excellence in online and mobile content.

Awards categories consist of both company and individual categories, including:

Company of the Year
Promising New Company of the Year
Best Branded Entertainment
Best in Canadian Culture
Community Campaign of the Year
Best Cross-Platform Project
Digital Media Technology of the Year
Best Kids Interactive
Best Mobile Application
Best Online Advertising
Best Online Portal
Best Online Program, Series, Or Film
Best Use of Social Media
Best Web-Based Game

For individuals, you have the opportunity to be named Producer of the Year, Interactive Designer of the Year, Executive of the Year, Developer of the Year, and Digital Media Woman of the Year (though men are excluded from this last category unless they’re comfortable in drag).

All fantastic honours when a jury of your peers, including yours truly, acknowledge your excellence.

The deadline for submissions is this Friday, September 17, and we want to ensure we have a body of submissions representative of the great creative and talent from across Canada.
