<p>We’ve previously talked about the <a href="https://sayyeah.com/digital-insights/b5media-ad-sales-brochure/">b5media Ad Sales Brochure</a>. What we want to share now is the companion slide deck. We have a lot of fun building slide decks because we’re focused solely on supporting the speaker. This means we want to create a healthy backdrop for them to shine against and help guide the conversation that they’ll be engaging in with their listeners.</p>
<p><span id="more-5668"></span></p>
<p>We’ve all seen slide decks where you’ve got an abundance of illegible bullet points or tiny little charts. None of this helps the audience or the speaker relate their story effectively. It generally distracts from the conversation with the speaker pointing to things that no one can read and the audience focusing on the slide instead of the story. Engagement fail.</p>
<p>When we create a slide deck, we urge clarity. For b5media, they needed to be able to dive into the content shown in their brochure and even expand on this. Rather than pushing all of the info they’d be talking about onto the deck, we used the same theme of brochure, with alternating category colours depending on the topic of the conversation, and subtle informational bullets that would animate on screen during the conversation.</p>
<p>Take a look by clicking through the slide deck below. You’ll see the presenter controls sectional transitions, while some areas, like categories, will run automatically while the presenter is talking.</p>

<p>We took the lead from the ad sales brochure we did a couple of months prior and based the designs on those colours. With a white screen print, the multicolour Ts tied everything together.</p>

<p>b5media’s sales department was looking for a better way to engage advertisers to help sell ad space across their blog network. From concept to copy to design, we worked to define the b5media identity both visually and in the written tone and manner they use to communicate with advertisers.</p>

<p>We began by introducing b5media and the concept of a Blog Network to advertisers.</p>

<p>It was important to explain the value behind the Blog Network in order to get buy in. This wasn’t about selling to a high volume of eyeballs. Advertisers needed to know they’d be connecting with early adopters, influencers, and a highly engaged readership in a targeted manner.</p>

<p>Highlighting the different channels that b5media’s 100s of blogs fit into, followed by detailed statistics on readership, were the final pieces that helped encourage new advertisers to come on board. All of this written in a concise way in bite sized candy coloured sections helped to engage advertisers with this new advertising opportunity.</p>

<p>In the end, we completed this brochure, a slide deck, trade show booth panels, and tshirts, all targeted towards driving new ad revenue to b5media’s diverse stable of blogs.</p>
