Mike Beauchamp:
WSJ has a great article this morning about the ways Marissa Mayer will be bringing about change at Yahoo!. One of her first moves? To get rid of the company’s stock ticker (and price) from their intranet. Marissa is all about product, so this makes sense. Her justification was simple: “I want you thinking about users.”
You can’t build a great product when you’re worried about satisfying the stock market or other non-users. This is great news for Yahoo and, hopefully, for those of us who use their services, like flickr.
